When you enter Black Rock Gallery in Wintergreen Resort’s Mountain Village, one of the first things you’ll notice is a wall of stunning photographs by Ben Greenberg.
Many visitors to the shop comment on the rich colors of fall foliage reflected in the water in the photograph of Glade Creek Mill . . . the rich detail in an image of the University of Virginia Rotunda. . . the feel for composition in a photograph taken from the Skyline Drive . . . or the mood of the blues and grays in a photo of a Great Blue Heron silhouetted against still waters on a foggy morning.
And if you happen to arrive on a day Ben is tending shop, you’ll be able to discover firsthand from the personable photographer just how the beautiful images were created.
In some 38 years of work as a freelance professional photographer, Ben has captured images from all over his native Virginia and achieved recognition for his efforts in local and national competitions.
“I use the best of traditional and cutting edge technology,” says Ben, who works with a medium format camera. His prints and the materials used to present them meet the highest archival quality standards and are designed to last a lifetime.
